involved in the business, including ginners, spinners, brand owners, civil
society organizations, and governments. Now everyone can take part in something

Cotton,
Global.
Regarding
this role
·
A dynamic and driven person is needed to join the
supply chain team at the Better Cotton Pakistan office. In order to manage the
Better Cotton Chain of Custody requirements, our Better Cotton Platform is used
by supply chain actors who are both members and non-members. The Senior
Officer, Supply Chain will support the supply chain team with ginner
onboarding, training, and service delivery.

The Better Cotton Membership and Supply Chain Team
will include the Senior Officer, Supply Chain.

The position calls for a strong commitment to
providing excellent customer service to Better Cotton's stakeholders as well as
responsibility, dependability, and accuracy in completing administrative
responsibilities.
Chain of
Supply Compliance
1. Assist in
hiring and educating outside auditors to conduct supplier and gin audits in
Pakistan and other countries in Far East Asia (FEA).
2. Help the
Pakistan Supply Chain Team monitor and audit ginners and ensure that
non-conformities are promptly closed based on remedial action taken by ginners.
3. Plan and
oversee the schedule of independent audits under the supervision of the
Pakistan Supply Chain Team. Ensure prompt notification of enterprises prior to
audits and post-audit follow-up.

4. Follow up
on non-conformities and remedial action plans resulting from third-party or
remote audits; escalate significant compliance problems to the supply chain
manager.
5. Monitor
the performance of outside auditors while working under the direction of the
supply chain manager.
Support
for Members and Visitors
1. Quickly
respond to questions about the Better Cotton Platform (BCP) (system tool) from
Members and Non-Members based in Pakistan, Central Asia (CA), and Far East Asia
(FEA). This will help to establish Better Cotton as a credible and professional
organization.
2.
Participate in the development of procurement strategies to boost uptake ratios
at the level of gins, spinning mills, and retailers.
Support
for the Membership & Supply Chain Teams
1. Assist
the Pakistan Supply Chain Team with administrative and logistical support for
the planning of Member and Non-Member training activities.
2. Assume
responsible for keeping all records in the BCP that pertain to Pakistan, the CA,
and FEA users and members current and accurate in order to ensure that Better
Cotton can interact and communicate with all members and BCP providers in an
efficient manner.
3. Enhance
teamwork by incorporating feedback from stakeholder engagement into workable
tasks that will improve the team's overall service delivery.
4. Assist in
improving tools and processes while collaborating closely with the larger
Membership and Supply Chain Team for increased consistency, credibility, and
quality.
Profile

successful applicant will possess the following qualifications:
Experience
Essential
·
Demonstrated expertise in areas including cotton,
trading, textiles, and apparel, as well as assurance in one's capacity to
learn, develop, and perform in a setting that moves rapidly quickly

Knowledge
and Skills

Textile University degree or comparable higher
education credential plus 3–4 years of relevant experience

The role will be based in the Lahore office and is
full-time (40 hours per week). With core hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and a
minimum requirement of twice weekly office attendance, Better Cotton offers
flexible working hours.
·
The job may demand travel within and outside of the
country/region, but not for longer than two weeks on long trips and not for
longer than fifteen days on short excursions. 2-3 day journeys.
